The Caribbean twin-island state of Antigua and Barbuda has been exploring renewable energy development to gain energy independence and to meet its emissions target, and has found a willing partner in British solar firm PV Energy. The company has already completed a number of solar projects across the two islands, and is now helping the government find the best energy storage units to compliment the large-scale installations.
On the utility-scale side, PV Energy has already completed the installations of a 3 MWp ground-mounted facility at the V.C. Bird International Airport Antigua and has begun construction of a 4 MWp solar plant in the Bethesda area of the island.
